Field Research
Students have the opportunity to learn not only in the lab, but in the field as well. Field research destinations of faculty, students, and staff in the Geology Department in recent years have included:
- Bangladesh and Canada (for studies of rivers systems)
- Yellowstone Park (for studies of geomicrobiology)
- Tibet (for studies of seismotectonics)
- Brazil (for studies of structure and tectonics)
- the Caribbean (for studies of coral diseases and carbonate deposition)
