Parker Wins BSG Wiley Blackwell Award

We congratulate Prof. Gary Parker on winning the BSG Wiley Blackwell Award for 2012.

The Award is given to the best paper published in the BSG's Journal Earth Surface Processes and Landforms. (See for details and past recipients.) This year’s award is selected from papers published in the 2011 volume of the journal.

The award is for the paper:
“A new framework for modeling the migration of meandering rivers” by G. Parker, Y. Shimizu, G. V. Wilkerson, E. C. Eke, J. D. Abad, J. W. Lauer, C. Paola, W. E. Dietrich and V. R. Voller, Earth Surf. Process. Landforms 36, 70–8

Gary will receive the award at the next BSG annual meeting, which is to be held in Nottingham (UK) on 25th-27th June 2012, and to give a keynote talk.
