Assistant Professor Jessica Conroy has been included in a list of 7 women climate scientists in an article published in The Guardian. The piece highlights the successes and contributions of several prominent and up-and-coming women climate scientists as a response to the recent national discourse on women’s abilities to thrive in intense STEM-related fields (answer: they can and do thrive!). Congratulations to Jess, a recent National Academies of Science Kavli Fellow, on being included in this high-flying international list, and showing that the departmental and university commitment to inclusion and diversity is yielding the highest-quality international science.
